Iris Renee Smith endured and finished her race on Wednesday August 13, 2003 at Nyack Hospital. A lifelong resident of Rockland, Iris attended the North Rockland schools, Rockland Community College and was employed by The Summit Children's Residence in Upper Nyack, NY. A committed Christian, Iris leaves to rejoice four daughters: Tymalaya Smith-Thomas, Zwanda Thomas, Silita Thomas-Moore, and Deja Thomas; her mother Dorothy M. Smith; two brothers, Gary and James Richard Smith; one sister Pamela Muhammad; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Services include a Wake on Monday, August 18th at 7-10pm and a Homegoing Celebration on Tuesday, August 19th at 11am. Both services will be held at The New City Gospel Fellowship, 384 New Hempstead Rd, New City, NY.
