IRENE ELLEN HARRIS (GRAY) November 5, 1910 - October 19, 2014 After a long full life, Irene passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Wenleigh Long Term Care in Mississauga. Irene was just days short of her 104th birthday. Loving wife of the late Robert (R.I.) Harris, both formerly of London, ON. Beloved daughter of the late Kate Marie Gray and Edward Samuel Gray (England). Loving mother of Lynn Verwey (Neil), Sheila Harris (Gary Pace - deceased). Adored grandmother of Jo-Anne Bourbonnais (Roger), Megan Harper (John), Lindsy Dowdall (Stafford). Great-grandmother of Devin, Jaime, Avery, Jacob, Tyler, Emerson, Stafford and Pace. Dear aunt of Catherine Henry (Bob) and George Jewell (Bev). Loved sister of the late Gladys Jewell and Hilda Reid who passed away in 2010 - also just days short of her 104th birthday. Irene was an avid gardener and travelled extensively in retirement. Her favourite pastime, however, was her family - especially her 3 granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren, whom she adored. We will all miss her beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humour. Her family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Chartwell Regency Retirement and the Wenleigh Long Term Care for their wonderful care and support. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 16th between 1-4 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skinner & Middlebrook Funeral Home in Mississauga.
