She was born in Jamaica and lived in New Jersey before retiring to Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cephas Reid in January 2011. Irene is survived by her sister, Miriam Riley and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 21, 2012 at The First Baptist Church of Lehigh 507 Sunshine Blvd. Lehigh Acres. Interment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
