Howard David Whaley, 60, died April 12, 2009, at Abbiejean Russell Care Center in Fort Pierce. He was born in Islip, N.Y., and lived in Stuart for 27 years. Survivors include his daughters, Lisa M. Thompson and Erika L. Dickens, both of Port St. Lucie; son, Howard D. Whaley Jr. of Fort Pierce; father, David S. Whaley of Stuart; brothers, David Whaley of Cookeville, Tenn., and Charles Whaley of Stuart; and eight grandchildren. SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. April 24 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. Arrangements are by the Yates Funeral Home and Crematory, Port St. Lucie Chapel.
