Sweeney, Hilda E. CLIFTON PARK Hilda E. "Dot" Sweeney passed into eternal life at Schuyler Ridge RHC on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Born September 1, 1914 in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Hugo and Anna Yager Boettner. She was a graduate of Albany High School, and retired from Suburban Propane Gas Corp. after 31 years. She also worked in uniform at the Army Depot in Rotterdam during World War II, as a compliment to her husband who was serving in the Navy. Wife of the late Edward J. Sweeney who died in 1981, she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Mion (Victor); grandsons, Farren, Patrick and Lance; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceas-ed by her brothers, Paul and Frederick. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Colonie for many years, and active in their Senior Citizens Group and the Silver Streakers Senior Citizens Group at Colonie Towers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 11 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rosa Rd., Schenectady. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Schuyler Ridge RHC, 1 Abele Blvd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
