Herman-Samuel Henry, spouse of Dorothy Henry, father of Vern, Dan, Lyle, Curtis, Rudy, Bea, Lila, Herman, Terry, Donna and Mark, died on January 25, 2005.
HENRY, Herman Samuel Peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 25, 2005 in Sidney, BC. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Dorothy of 53 years; children Vern, Dan, Lyle, Curtis, Rudy, Bea, Lila, Herman Jr, Terry Ann, Donna, Mark; 34 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lila, Cecelia, Moe, Sam, Eva, Janet, along with many other family and friends. Ham was a proud Canadian who served in WWII. He was a champion soccer player and was captain of the Victoria Allstars when they defeated Fulham in 1951 and the team was subsequently inducted into the Hall Of Fame. He was also a champion puller and won many trophies. Ham leaves many wonderful memories of his love for family, his devotion to grandchildren, his strong work ethic and his sense of humour. Prayers Service 7:00 pm Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Pauquachin Hall where a funeral service will follow 9:00 am Saturday, January 29, 2005. 34391
