Obituary of Herbert-Thomas Carter

CARTER Herbert Thomas, age 79, a lifelong resident of Paterson, NJ. He was employed as a Boiler Room Operator for many years at Richardson Chemical Co., and Passaic General Hospital, Passaic, NJ. He was drafted in the US Army in 1948. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Sarah Swann Carter; daughter, Susan Carter; son, Herbert Carter, Jr.; and his parents, Herbert T. Carter and Doretta C. Moore. He is survived by two sons, Robert J. and Bartow Carter (Theresa); one sister, Ann Smith; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Carter; four sisters-in-law, Mary Swann, Miriam Threet, Lillian Ruth Brown and Carolyn Slappy. He is also survived by one aunt, Bernice McDowell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, 12 noon at The Carnie P. Bragg Funeral Home, 256 Rosa Parks Blvd. Paterson, NJ Interment: William C.
