Lee, Herbert, 77, of Plantation, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, and Saginaw, MI, died on May 14, 2012. Herb served in the chemical corps of the U.S. Army in the 1950s. He was the owner/operator of Prestige Carpet Cleaning prior to retirement. A charter member of the men's auxiliary of SFBC, he loved his friends and family and kept them amused with "Herb's humor." He loved cars, gadgets, fishing and his favorite teams - the Steelers, the Marlins and the Hurricanes. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlene; his son, Tedd (Dawn) of Margate, his daughter Amy Stahr (Ed) of Troy, NY; and four beloved grandsons, Nickolaus, Trevor, Jacob and Kyle; and two sisters, Jane Jones of Clearwater, FL, and Ann Schwartz of Big Rapids, MI. Because of his love of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Broward County. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, May 23, at the Fountains of Jacaranda clubhouse, 9600 W. Broward Blvd, from 4-6 p.m.
