Herbert LEEOct 16, 1927 - Dec 24, 2015Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Christmas Eve, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary (nee Chan), devoted father of Peggy and Randy, loving grandfather of Jason and Gregory, and brother to Alfred (deceased), Ramsey (deceased), Alice (deceased), Ethel and Joyce. Born in Vancouver, he was raised in Montreal and graduated from McGill University with a Masters in Engineering. He became a highly respected Vice President of Rio Tinto, Fer et Titane (formerly Quebec Iron and Titanium Corporation) where he worked for over 35 years and led numerous exploration projects around the world. He was a School Board Commissioner and founded Harold Sheppard Elementary School in Sorel-Tracy. Passionate about the outdoors, he treasured spending time with family and friends playing golf and skiing in the Laurentians. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 29 from 2 - 6 pm at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec H2V 2P9. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at 11 am in the Chapel at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex.
