Henry Lewis Cobb Henry Lewis Cobb, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Moulton Cobb, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage on Dec. 29, 2006. The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Tuesday at Evangel Assembly of God Church, with burial at 4 p.m. at Cedar Springs Cemetery in Cedar Springs, Ga. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EST Monday at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home Timberlane Road Chapel (850-893-4177).In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Mr. Cobb was born on Jan. 18, 1922, in Baker. He came to Tallahassee at the age of 14. When World War II started he joined the U.S. Navy and served three years on the USS Saucy. He received an honorable discharge in 1945.He owned and operated Cobb's Grocery, Cobb's Household Furnishing and Cobb Roofing. His last job was as a school crossing guard, where he enjoyed helping the children. Lewis was a member of Evangel Assembly of God Church where he was an active member and devout Christian, supporting and sponsoring many ministries in the area.Other survivors include four sons, Randall Cobb (and wife Debbie) of Crawfordville, Max Cobb (and wife Becky), Don Cobb (and wife Pam) and Larry Cobb (and wife Dianne) of Tallahassee; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eneree Shank (and husband Lee) of Tallahassee, Evelee Sands (and husband the Rev. Alfred) of Lakeland, and Roselle Barnhill of Baker; a brother, Barney Cobb of Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents J.A. and Lue Cobb, and two sisters, Verlie Carter and Margie Brantley.
