Henry Lee "Buddy" Jones Henry Lee "Buddy" Jones, 73, who retired as a street maintenance worker for Leon County, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Lizzie Jones. The service will be at noon EDT Saturday at Strong & Jones Funeral Home chapel (224-2139), with burial at Southside Cemetery.The funeral cortege will assemble at 11 a.m. Saturday at 214 Tropicaire St. A native of Americus (Sumter County) Ga., he had lived in Tallahassee since 1954. Other survivors include three sons, Henry Lee Jones Jr. of Tallahassee, Johnny Jones (and wife Regina) of Ocala and David Eugene Jones (and wife Patricia) of Tallahassee; four daughters, Edna Bell (and husband the Rev. Frederick Bell) of Tallahassee, Ella Louise Bryant of Jacksonville, Brenda Delores Jones-Garrett (and husband Alex) of Orlando and Patsy Yvonne Jackson (and husband Vandolis) of Midway; two brothers, Jessie Lee and Johnny Lee Jones of Smithfield; four sisters, Lula Brown of Tallahassee, Emma Lee Miles (and husband Hewitt) of Americus, Ga., and Mary Alice Rivers and Juanita Jones, both of Smithfield; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
