Hillmann, Henry "Bud" SELKIRK Henry "Bud" Hillmann, 92, of Selkirk, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Born January 21, 1921, he was the son of the late Gustave Hillmann and Adella (Speck) Hillmann. Bud worked the Hillmann Brother's Farm for his entire life including their International Harvester Dealership and working for the Town of Bethlehem. He had many loves: hunting, fishing, trapping, woodworking and leather tooling. He was a certified NY state hunting instructor, and was well known locally for his families' weekly dances at "The Old Red Barn." Eight brothers and sisters predeceased him, Daniel, Harold, Frederick, Henrietta Schubert, John, Charles, Theodore, and Grace Newkirk. He is survived by his two children, Wayne (Patricia) Hillmann of Wescosville, Pa. and Nancie Shelhamer of Selkirk; as well as his four grandchildren, Cyrus, Heather, Cheryl (Wil) Scott and Lainie (Justin "Angus") Simoneau; three great-grandchildren, Briana, Broderick and Piper; along with cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and families. In his later years, he managed to pass along jokes wherever he went, mostly with his cronies at Stewarts, in Selkirk. Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 21 at Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena, followed by a memorial service at 7. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Service, PO Box 246, Selkirk, NY 12158.
