CHENETTE, Henry - 1959-2009 - The family announces with sorrow the passing of Henry Chenette on Tuesday February 24, 2009 at the Timmins and District Hospital following a short illness at the age of 49. Henry was a wonderful friend to many, especially to those at Grace Bible Chapel where he attended for most of his life. Henry was a most enthusiastic participant in Chapel activities such as: services, business meetings, social gatherings, work parties and the annual men's conference in Guelph. He wore many hats in terms of responsibilities undertaken at Grace Bible Chapel including: librarian and audio technician, among other things. He was a dependable and faithful man with a large and happy personality. Henry was predeceased by his mother Shirley (Houldcroft) Chenette, his father Henry Chenette Sr., his grandfather Thomas Houldcroft Sr. and his grandmother Minnie Houldcroft. Henry is survived by his uncle Thomas Houldcroft Jr. and his aunt Verna Houldcroft of Milton, ON and by his cousins Kevin, Richard and Gregory Houldcroft and Lynn Lang and by his lifelong special friends Retha and Rosie Griffin of Timmins. Henry was ushered peacefully into heaven, knowing even then that “absence from the body” would bring him immediately into “the presence of the Lord”. Henry was loved by all and he will most surely be missed. Funeral service will be held on Saturday February 28, 2009 at the Grace Bible Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery.
