Obituary of Helen-Zandt Tuttle


Helen Zandt Tuttle of Vestal Helen Zandt Tuttle, 68, of Vestal, NY passed away on, Tuesday morning, April 13, 2010. She was born on August 4, 1941 and was one of twelve children of August and Hedwig Zandt of China Road, Deposit, NY. Affectionately known as "Pippi" by her family, she is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Rose Zandt and three brothers, Charles, George and Edward Zandt. She is survived by her brothers, Ernest Zandt of White Bear Lake, MN, Hans and Helen Zandt of Trout Creek, NY, August Jr. and Rachael Zandt of Binghamton, NY, Robert and Diana Zandt of Raleigh, NC, Peter Zandt, Corona, CA; sisters, Hedwig Koelle of Canton, MA and Maggie and Gary Warner of Rensselaer, NY; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Zandt, Beverly Zandt, Sharon Zandt and a very special roommate, Lubiana Paoli. Pippi was a mother to Scott, Timothy and Wayne Tuttle, all of West Virginia; a stepmother to David and Daniel Tuttle, and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Willow Point Nursing Home. Pippi loved you all. Pippi was easy-going and loveable all her life. Her siblings remember that she always had time to spend with them and help them, especially the younger ones that she looked after. Her signature giggle made everyone smile along with her. Pippi was a giving person and the family requests that you honor her life by giving of yourself in some small way that will help someone else. A private service will be held at the discretion of the family. Arrangements are by the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, NY.
