ObituaryHelen (Pederson) Woodward Miller, died Saturday, June 29th, 2002 at age 61, at her home in Fort Myers, Florida. She was born October 17, 1940 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Reverend James O. and Anna E. Pederson. Helen graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth, Minnesota in 1959. In 1960, she married her Denfeld high school sweetheart Gary L. Woodward and they had four children. Upon the death of her husband Gary in 1976, Helen and her children resided in Hudson, Wisconsin and Lakeland, Minnesota from 1977 to 1988, where she married David Miller of Lakeland, Minnesota. In 1988, Helen moved to Fort Myers, Florida where she resided until her death. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soul mate Gary L. Woodward and by her parents Reverend James 0. Pederson and Anna E. Pederson. Helen is survived by her four children, Joan (Guy) Redwing of Lakeville, Minnesota, Janis (Harold) Walter of Fort Myers, Florida, David (Susana) Woodward of Duluth, Minnesota and Daniel (Elise) Woodward of Lake Elsinore, California and her three grandsons, Sebastian and Marcos Woodward of Duluth, Minnesota and Grayson Walter of Fort Myers, Florida. Helen is survived by her four brothers, Gunner (Jean) Pederson of Naples, Florida, Ove (Donna) Pederson of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Jim (Ann) Pederson of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Paul (Kay) Pederson of Park Rapids, Minnesota and by her close friend and former sister-in-law, Vicki Leiva of Duluth, Minnesota. Helen is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and by her faithful companion Tika, her pet poodle. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at Park Hill cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota.
