Helen "Virginia" Williams died Monday, Nov. 24, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after a long illness. She was 76 years old. A native and life-long resident of Liberty County, Williams retired from the Post Exchange at Fort Stewart. She was also assistant manager of Pat's Hallmark Shop in Hinesville and worked for Stacy's Florist. Williams was a member of Allenhurst Presbyterian Church. Surviving is her husband, Billy Williams of Ludowici; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Mills of Jesup; her brother, Harry Skipper of Allenhurst; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Williams will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday at Carter Funeral Home's Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Richard Troost officiating. Burial services will be at Allenhurst Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The pallbearers are David Morris, Randy McMillan, David McDonald, Hal Skipper, Dale Parker and Jimmy Horne.
