HELEN TERESA GRAHAM (nee DALY) In the arms of her loving family, on Thursday, November 12, 2009. Devoted wife of the late Fred Graham (2005), and her children Jennifer (George Walhout), Derek (Karen Milne), Dalyse (Wayne Sobol), Melanie (Dave Fawcett), Andrea (Terry Sharp) and Lisa (Steve Alexander). Predeceased by an infant daughter in 1965. Cherished Nana of Shawn (Julie McMillan), Erin (Kerry Nagata), Julie (David Grainger), Rebecca (Andrew Pitt), Mathew (Marianne Puchala), Andrew, Heather, Graham, Bradley, Emily, Garret and Olivia. Great-grandmother of Korbin and Jona. Beloved sister of Nita Daly (Guelph) and John Nudd (Edmonton). Predeceased by sister Kathryn in 2000. Helen was born in Wellington County on March 25, 1927, the daughter of Kathleen and Frank Daly. She left the family farm in Fergus in 1947 to pursue a nursing career in Toronto. She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. She married the love of her life, Fred Graham in September 1951. They settled in Rexdale where they built a home and a business while raising their six children. They were married for 54 years. Helen was a giving spirit, who lived a life full of countless acts of generosity. Nothing was too much to ask. She gave of her time, energy and support to friends and strangers alike. She lived her life in devotion to her husband and children; they always came before her own needs. Helen remained in her home until her passing, thanks to her loving care provider, Hayrie. A special thank you to Julian and Lucy for improving her quality of life. Her family is sincerely grateful for the years of compassionate care provided by Dr. Brian Watada. The gentle kindness shown by Dr. Hossam Makar in the final week of her life will never be forgotten. Friends and family are invited to visit at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main St., Milton, 905-878-4452 from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2009. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin St., Milton on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment to be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Elora, Ontario on Monday at approximately 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Red Cross in support of the victims of the 'Philippines Typhoons 2009' would be appreciated.
