Obituary of Helen Tuttle

TUTTLE, Helen LorraineIt is with sorrow that the family of Helen Tuttle, Carleton Place, announce her passing at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, March 23, 2012. She was in her 80th year. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Tuttle as well as her parents and seven siblings. She will be sadly missed by her children, Linda McLaren of Perth, ON, Roger and Madelaine Tuttle of Carleton Place, ON, Jan Matthews of Amherst, NS and Mark Tuttle, currently of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia. She loved and delighted in the lives and exploits of her ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Helen enjoyed working in a variety of positions before establishing a successful career with Leigh Instruments Limited, Spar Aerospace and DRS. She embraced new opportunities, possibilities and experiences throughout her life, enjoying travel, summer visits to Nova Scotia, spending time with family and friends, books and theatre. Friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. when a service to celebrate Helen's life will be held in the chapel. Reception to follow. Interment will be at Wallace Bay Cemetery, Nova Scotia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Helen's memory to either the "Give Our Theatre a Lift" project at the Perth Studio Theatre, or the Wallace Bay Cemetery Association. www.barkerfh.com
