BENNETT, Helen Sherleen of Tampa, form-erly of Lewisburg, passed away Sept. 2, 2010 after a short illness. She was born in Ronceverte, WV on Feb. 14, 1950. She was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and of Shepherd College, with a degree in Social Work and worked for the WV Department of Welfare before moving to Tampa. Sherleen was preceded in death by her father, Sherman E. Bennett, and her mother, Hazel C. Bennett. She is survived by two brothers, Kent (Joyce), Tampa and Louis (Kathy), Mt. Airy, NC; one sister, Kathie, Lewis-burg; three nieces; Kacey Bennett, Miami, Brittany Griffith (Tony), Roseville CA and Steffanie Lee (Philip), Melbourne, FL; three nephews, Kevin, Derrick and Alex, all of Mt. Airy NC; three great-nieces and one great-nephew; two uncles; Earl Corbin, Lewisburg and George Bennett, White Sulphur Springs; and two aunts; Colleen Walton, Ronceverte, and Freda Williams, Brook Park, OH. She is also survived by many cousins and friends. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2pm Saturday, Oct. 2nd at Lewisburg United Methodist Church in Lewisburg WV with Rev.
