of Yonkers passed away on February 4, 2002. She was born on May 25, 1922 to John & Jennie Picciano. She attended Mount Vernon schools and graduated from AB Davis High School in 1940. She married Joseph Romano on September 2, 1945 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Helen worked for the Mount Vernon Board of Education until retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Italian Civic Association in Mount Vernon. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, 2 sons Joseph and Gregory, 1 brother Alexander Picciano and 1 sister Tosca Santoro. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren Gregory and Michelle. Friends may call the Yannantuono Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday between 2-4, 7-9 pm.
