Obituary of Helen-R. Williams


WILLIAMS Helen R. (Eliopoulos) Williams, beloved wife of the late, Anthony J. Williams, died peacefully in her home in Rockville, Md., at the age of 76, on Tuesday, May 31, 2005. She was born in Bridgeport in 1929, attended Bridgeport University and graduated St. Vincentts Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 where she practiced as a Registered Nurse. She moved to Maryland in 1968. With her vibrant and caring spirit, she lovingly devoted her life to her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Victor James Ellis, of Connecticut; her two daughters, Marcia Williams, of Maryland, and Karen Creedon, and husband John, of Georgia; two sons, Jeffrey Williams, and wife, Marian; and James Williams, and wife, Laurie; grandchildren Christina and Michelle, of Maryland. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Demetrios Recachinas officiating. Interment immediately following will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, June 3, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT. (on the Trumbull line). The trisagion service will take place Friday evening in the funeral home.
