Helen R. Johnsonof Port CraneHelen R. Johnson, 88, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 23, 2005. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Ervin Watson Johnson, Sr.; grandson, Kenneth J. Clark; three sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Dawn Maslar, Windsor, N.Y.; son, Glenn Johnson, Port Orange, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and Ogden (Jerry) Clark, Loudonville, N.Y.; son and daughter-in-law, Ervin and Freddie Johnson, Jr., Port Crane, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Leo Wiser, Nineveh, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law, Janette and Buzz Boyd, Brooksville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister, Grace Donson, Upland, Calif.; a special roommate at Willow Point, Margaret Baranyk; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of the Broome County Home Bureau, and the Needles and Skeins Knitting Guild. She will be remembered for her handmade teddy bears.Funeral services will be held Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, with Rev. Rex Baker officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff on the North Tower Lower Level at Willow Point Nursing Home.
