Helen R. Anderson Appleton, born in 1910, spouse of Arthur H. Anderson, mother of Hope and Faith, died on March 4, 2010 at 100 years old.
Helen R. Anderson-Appleton, 100, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Golden Living Center in Dedham. Beloved wife of the late Arthur H. Anderson, formerly of Worcester, and the late Perry L. Appleton, formerly of Newton, she was the loving and devoted mother of daughters, Hope of Norwood, and Faith, wife of Lew F. Horton of Wellesley; cherished grandmother of Michael F. Horton of Hudson, Gwendolyn A. Horton, and the late Sean A. Horton, both of Fairfax, Calif. Before raising a family, Helen was an employee of The Christian Science Monitor and in her later years, The Worcester Public Library. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Worcester. Known for her youthful energy, quick wit and loving nature, Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 11, at 1:30 p.m., at the Chapel of Christ Episcopal Church, 1132 Highland Ave., Needham.
