Athens - Mrs. Helen Pert Wade, 88, of Athens, passed away on December 10, 2005. Born August 31, 1917, she was a native of Quitman, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Mr. James and Edna Smith Pert and widow of the late Phil S. Wade, Jr.She was a graduate of Athens High School and of the University of Georgia. She retired as a Home Economist from the Georgia Power Company.Mrs. Wade is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Col. James Pert and Terry Wade of Tampa, Fla., a granddaughter, Anna Katarina Florie Wade of Germany, and a number of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Glenn Doak officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.The family will receive friends Monday, December 12, 2005 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of the First Presbyterian Church, 185 E.
