HARRIS, HELEN PAULINE, 77, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, KY. Ms. Harris was born in Muhlenberg Co. on March 14, 1929. She is also a member of Drakesboro First Baptist Church. Ms. Harris was a graduate of Drakesboro High School. She graduated from Western Kentucky University, where she received her bachelors and masters degrees. She was a teacher at Drakesboro High School for 42 years. Ms. Harris was a loyal supporter of the Drakesboro Alumni Assoc. for many years, where she served as treasurer. Ms. Harris enjoyed a loving family. People who are close in heart while miles apart; nice friends, loyal and giving to the end, giving her a rich, rich life. We miss her so. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrus and Geneva Harris; and brother, William Gobel. She is survived by her brother and sister-in- law, Gordon R. and Bonnie K. Harris of Drakesboro, KY and Hobart, IN; sister and brother-in-law, Kaye S. and William R. Ward of Mesa, Az; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Scott of Chesterton, IN; nephews, Rick and Debbie Harris of Montana, Chris and Lila Adkins of Montana, Jess Adkins of Arizona; niece, Reneé Lazano of Indiana; great-nephews, Colter Adkins and Jeffrey Adkins of Montana; and great-niece, Katrina Adkins of Montana. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home. Public visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and family visitation will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Tucker Funeral Home, 113 N. 3rd.
