SOMERVILLE, Ala. - Helen Louise Nunley Miller, age 83, of Somerville, West Point Community, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Alabama on November 9, 1925 to Elijah Babe and Flora McWhorter Starnes. She was married to Albert Miller who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Miller is survived by sons: Donald W. (Cathy) Nunley of Lawrence, Kansas, Kenneth Lee (Deborah) Nunley of Harlem, Georgia and Terry Glenn (Mark Phillips) Nunley of Somerville; daughter: Sherleen Hawkins of Somerville; brother: Jerry (Patsy) Starnes of Hartselle; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., April 17, 2009 at West Point Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Harry Saint and Robert Steadham officiating. She will lie in state at the church on Friday from noon until funeral time. Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel.
