Helen Jones Miller, 73, of 134 Douglas Lane, died Jan. 12, 2004, at Magnolia Place Spartanburg.A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Alvin Redman and Ada Gassaway Jones, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are her husband, Raymond Miller, of Duncan; two daughters, Dianne Traynham, of Jasper, Ga., and Elizabeth Starnes, of Moore; a son, Jeff Dobbins, of Rock Hill; a stepson, Rick Miller, of Spartanburg; a stepdaughter Lisa Watts, of Hickory, N.C.; a sister, Reba Alexander, of Lyman; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Mrs. Miller was predeceased by a daughter, Pam Ayers Grier.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Rubin Sheppard. Interment will follow at Perkins Memorial Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Wood Mortuary.The family is at the home of a daughter: Elizabeth Starnes, 109 Cotswold Ave., Moore.Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1111 W.O.
