HELEN MARIE MILLER LAPORTE, IN Helen Marie Miller, 81, of LaPorte, passed away on October 27, 2007. She was born on July 29, 1926 in Hamlet, IN to Glenn and Nellie (Westbrook) Ray, who both preceded her in death. On October 25, 1950, in Hamlet she married Jonhenry Miller who also preceded her in death in 1989. Helen worked as a teacher at Westville High School from 1949 until her retirement in 1989. She belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis, Delta Kappa Gamma, Ladies Aid at St. Paul Lutheran and the Indiana Retired Teachers' Association. She is survived by three children: Carrie Ann (Dan) McKibben, Marc Miller, David (Jacqueline) Miller all of LaPorte; sister, Leta Janisch of LaPorte; brother, Harry (Marilyn) Ray of Bensonville, IL; five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Helen M.
