Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday prior to the service at the Liberty Mortuary from 2 to 2:45 p.m.Helen Carver McDonald of Liberty, S.C., wife of Roy James McDonald, was called to eternal rest on May 30, 2004. She was born in Oconee County, July 9, 1929, the daughter of "Doc" Carver.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Liberty, S.C. She was also a member and Past Matron of Liberty Chapter No. 80, Order of the Eastern Star.Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Ronnie Gilliam; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Crystal and Tim Smith; great granddaughter, Savannah Smith; one sister, Genell Hornick, of Seneca; and one brother, Jim Carver, of Inman. She was predeceased by her father and two brothers, Jack and Aldridge Carver.Eastern Star funeral rites will be conducted by members of the Order who were dear friends of Mrs. McDonald.
