Helen Marie Gibbons, 83, Port Charlotte, died Dec. 12, 2002, in Quality Health Care Center, North port. She was born July 14, 1919, in Glouster, Ohio, and came to Port Charlotte seven years ago from Naples Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Guy; a son, John D. Smith of Punta Gorda; three sisters; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at James A. McKee Funeral home, North Port. Burial will be private.
