Helen ManningPLEASANT VALLEY - Helen (Peach) Manning, 84, of Pleasant Valley, NY died Monday, July 11, 2011. Helen welcomed any and all into her home. She treated everyone with dignity and respect. She had a positive impact on everyone she touched. Helen died unexpectedly at St. Francis Hospital. Helen was born on June 15, 1927 in Unionvale NY and was the daughter of William and Theresa Clear Whalen. She was a Parishioner at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Pleasant Valley NY. She graduated from Marquette University. Helen raised 7 children, Maureen Derasmo of Pleasant Valley, John Manning of New Hampshire, Thomas P Manning of Pleasant Valley, Brian Manning of Hudson, NY,Mark Manning of Pleasant Valley, Tara Manning Rock of LaGrangeville and Eileen Skura.She also has 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great GrandchildrenShe will be greatly missed and remembered fondly for her wit, her wisdom and her worldly insight. We love you Mom.She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J Manning, her daughter Eileen Skura, two brothers, Anthony Whalen and William Whalen, a sister, Marion Ingerman.Calling hours will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM Friday, July 15th at the Allen Funeral Home 1605 Main St. Pleasant Valley, NY 12569. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, July 16th at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Main St. Pleasant Valley. Burial will follow at St. Dennis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction, NY.
