Obituary of Helen-M. Miller


TROY Helen M. Marge Miller, 82, of Rice Mt. Place, Troy, wife of the late William H. Miller, died on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital. Born August 25, 1922 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Catherine M. Murphy Hope. She was a graduate of the Lansingburgh High School. Marge worked as a secretary for the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring in 1984. Survivors include five sisters, Kathleen (Warren) Schermerhorn of Lake George, Dorothy (William) Lanoue of Troy, Shirley (John) Ryan of Troy, Betty (Caryle) Sherwin of Mahwah, N.J. and Patricia (Thomas) McManus of Coxsackie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8:45 from the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. (corner of 115th Street and Fourth Avenue), Lansingburgh thence to St. Augustine's Church where at 9:30 a.m. the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held in St. John's Cemetery, Lansingburgh. Memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan Sixth Floor Hospice, 2215 Burdett Ave., Troy, NY 12180 or to the Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center, 421 Columbia Street, Cohoes, NY 12047 in memory of Marge.
