Dodd: Helen Louise 1922 - 2003 Mrs. Helen Louise Dodd, beloved wife of Mr. Archie Dodd of Red Deer, formerly of Morrin, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Nursing Home, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, January 26, 2003 at the age of 81 years. Helen was born on January 8, 1922 in Rowley, Alberta. She was a devoted and caring farm wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her integrity, poise, strong values and morals were only a part of the lovely character Helen possessed. Helen was an inspiration to us all. She was well known for not missing an opportunity to pass along her wisdom and life experiences to her grandchildren. Helen always took great pride and care in all she did, particularly anything for her family whom she loved and adored. As well, Helen loved to read, do crossword puzzles and loved gardening. Everything she did was done with loving care. Helen was a member of the U.C.W. in Morrin and also served on a committee that created and produced the Morrin Blooming Prairie History Book, a fine accomplishment. In the years that followed, Helen's pride and joy were her wonderful grandchildren. Her love, devotion and kindness will always be remembered and Helen's memories will be cherished in our hearts forever. Helen leaves to mourn her loss, her devoted husband, Archie, her loving children, Gerry and his wife, Karen Frezell of Red Deer, Ron and his wife, Terri-Lynn Dodd of Morrin, Alberta and her beloved grandchildren, Steven and Shauna Frezell and James, Rae-Ann and Russell Dodd. She is also survived by a sister, Esther and her husband, Jim Fairbairn. Helen is predeceased by her parents, George and Gunhild Aune, brothers, Pat, Elmer and Edward and sisters, Inga, Signe and Jennie. A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held at the Morrin Community Hall, Morrin, Alberta on Friday, January 31, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Morrin Cemetery, Morrin, Alberta. In place of flowers, Memorial Tributes in Helen's Honour may be made directly to the United Church in Morrin, Alberta or to the Morrin School Library Literacy Project.
