HELEN L. HARRIS (NEE WILSON) MERRILLVILLE, IN Helen L. Harris, age 95 of Merrillville, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010. She is survived by her niece, Dorothy (Bill) May of Munster; three nephews: Richard (Frieda) Eckert of OH, Jim (Jeanne) Eckert of TN and Russell (Kitty) Lee of Portage; many great nieces and great nephews; and friends: Nancy Traverse of Merrillville and Gail Lee of Lansing, IL; caretaker, Esther Phiri of Indianapolis. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Dorr Harris; four sisters; and three nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN with Pastor Don Rector officiating. Burial Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Harris was a charter member of Suburban Bible Church of Highland and a member of the Christian Women's Club. She was a retired school teacher with 39 years of service.
