HELEN JOHNSON of VestalHelen Johnson, 81, of Vestal, died at her residence Sunday, August 19, 2001. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert, Vestal one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Linda and a grandson, Michael, all of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Elizabeth Salvinski, Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Thomas and Angola Salvinski, Binghamton; a special sister-in-law, Eleanor Johnson, Binghamton; her caring nieces and nephews, Douglas and Eilene Salvinski, Barbara and Lonnie Hudgins, Greg, James, Joanne and Joyce Salvinski, John, Carl and Patricia McLaughlin, Alice Buran, Mary Jane Paterniti, and Cheryl and Marc Liddic. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Special thanks to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospice Nurse, Pat, and Connie, Shelby, and all who called on Helen at her home, making the last weeks and days of her illness comfortable. Special thanks to Rev. Fr. John Putano, Pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, who came to console and pray with Helen during her illness. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
