EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Helen Jean Peters, 92, entered into rest on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Trinity Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late William Louis Peters. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Michael Riddle at Brandon Wilde in the Georgia Room. The family will receive friends after the service. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Jean was the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret Brown. Married on August 19, 1935, she and her husband Louis enjoyed sixty one years of marriage. Jean raised her family in Dearborn, Michigan until retiring to Newport Richey, Florida. Evans, Georgia has been her home for the past fifteen years. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Jean enjoyed painting, cooking and most of all being with family and friends. She was a kind and thoughtful person who will be missed dearly. Survivors include her son, Donald Louis Peters of Loudon, Tennessee; her daughter-in-law, Karen Elizabeth Peters of Martinez, Georgia; her grandson, Todd Glen Peters of Martinez, Georgia; her granddaughter, Lauren Jean Peters of New York, New York; and many caring family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn William Peters.
