HARRINGTON Helen Harrington " Nannie", 93, died Sunday August 11, 2002. She was born in Barnes, NY, and had resided in Jacksonville for 46 years. She retired from Prudential Insurance following many years of dedicated service, and was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. She was also an avid Tom Coughlin and Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Surviving are her daughter Nancy Bessent; 4 grandsons Russell (LouAnne), Robert (Amy), Carl (Teri), and Ray (Christie) McCormick; 8 great grandchildren Russell (Jamie), Robert, Preston, Mallory, Ray, Brooke, and Connor McCormick, and Maleigh Stewart; her great great granddaughter Victoria McCormick; her niece Barbara Henson and former son in law Carl McCormick, Sr. Graveside service are being held at 2:00 PM Friday August 19, 2002 (TODAY) at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville with Fr. Luke McLoughlin officiating. Although she was the noble matriarch of a very large family, many have been blessed and mentored by the one whose every breath was that of true altruism, and expecting nothing in return, " Our Nannie."
