Helen-Harrington Williams, daughter of Dora-Belle-Black and Raymond, died on February 11, 2002.
Mrs. Helen Harrington Williams died Feb. 11, 2002, at her residence. Born in Lee County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Mrs. Dora Belle Black Harrington and Mr. Raymond Harrington. She was educated in Lee County schools and graduated from Elon College. She retired after 35 years as a teacher in North Carolina and South Carolina. She was a member of Trinity Road United Methodist Church in Greenville. Her husband, Mr. W.D. "Bill" Williams, died July 12, 1997. Survivors: A son and daughter-in-law, David Williams and Kathy Williams, of Columbia; a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Woodard and the Rev. John N. Woodard, of Hickory, N.C.; three grandchildren, Matthew Williams and Molly Williams, both of Columbia, and Ashley Woodard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and sisters, Mrs. Mary H. Steele of Due West and Mrs. Lois H. McBryde of Sanford, N.C. Service: 2 p.m. today at Shiloh United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Bill Hoyle, Assistant Pastor.
