Funeral for Helen Gray, 75, of Decatur will be today, April 8, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Saint Stephens P.B. Church with the Rev. Eugene Lewis officiating and Sharpley Funeral Home directing.Burial will be in Calvary Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gray, who died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital, was born July 4, 1930, in Limestone County to Lewis Coger Sr. and Icie McWilliams. She was retired from the state of Alabama. Her husband, James E. Gray Sr., and son, James E. Gray Jr., preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, S.S.G. Carsandra Gray, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Janice G. Russell (James), of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Pamela Woodruff (Randy), Dewight Cowley II, Yolandia Roach, and Antwan Jones, all of Decatur, and James Russell II, of Tuscaloosa; stepgrand children, Kelly Orr (Nick), Christopher Sizemore (Ta wanna), and April Bankston, all of Decatur; great-grand children, LaPorscha Russell, of Tuscaloosa, Janessa Gray and Jalyn Woodruff, Ashton Woodall, Mashayla Harris, and Kaleeb Langford, all of Decatur, Kashyra Sanders, of Muscle Shoals, and Asia Gray and Deonajia Foster, both of Tuscaloosa; her mother in-law, Othella Gray of Decatur; and brother-in-law, Carl Parker (Johnnie) of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
