GILLESPIE, Helen Louise (nee Van Bridger) Passed away peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday September 21, 2010. Born September 26, 1917 in Winchester ON. Helen was the daughter of Thomas (T.O.) and Margaret Van Bridger. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Gillespie (d. 1968) and dear mother of Gary (Gus) Gillespie (married to Barbara) of Toronto, and Mary Zadow (married to Larry) of Belleville. Dear sister of James Van Bridger of Ottawa, she was predeceased by brothers George, Jack, Ted and sister Jean Baldwin. Much loved grandmother of David (Alison), Thom (Krista), Matthew (Maggie), Heather (Tim), Emily, Dan and Adam (Gillian) and great grandmother of Malcolm, Duncan, Louie, Henry, Sophie and James. Helen was resident at Quinte Gardens, Belleville and formerly of Morrisburg and Ottawa. Funeral service at St. Matthias Anglican Church, 541 St. Lawrence St. Winchester, where she was baptized, on Saturday, September 25 at 1:00 PM with interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery. Reception to follow at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Winchester. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Quinte Cremation Services. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
