FERGUSON _ Helen Isabell 1917 - 2004 Helen Isabell Ferguson of the Ensign district went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the Vulcan Extendicare Nursing Home, at the age of 87 years. Helen was born on March 13, 1917 to John and Frances Duguid at the homestead on top of the Buffalo Hills. She married Archie Clayton Ferguson on December 9, 1939 and they lived in the Ensign/Vulcan area all their married lives. Helen is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Archie Ferguson; son William (Jean) Ferguson; daughter Frances (Allan) Siewert; daughter Sharon (Ken) Brooks; daughter Barbara (Larry) Graff; and son Barry (Darlene) Ferguson. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her one and only brother, Jim (Dorothy) Duguid of Castor, Alberta. Helen was predeceased by her parents John and Frances Duguid; sisters, Maisie (Howard) Smith, Constance (Hans) Huber, Dorothy (Jack) Heide, Barbara (Fred) Wade; and one grandson, Tony Ferguson. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Christ, Vulcan on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Doug Siewert officiating. An Interment Service will follow at Vulcan Cemetery.
