HEWITT, Helen Elizabeth, R.N. - Helen Gier died quickly July 29, 2011, after living 87 rich years. Helen was predeceased by her cherished husband John (2001). She will be lovingly remembered by three children, John, Thomas and Pamela; respective spouses Carolyn, Karen and Hugh and six loving grandchildren Jason, Allison, Laura, Sarah, Jessica and Wesley. Helen graduated in 1945 as a Registered Nurse from and worked at Toronto Western Hospital where she was a head nurse. She was also an expert mother and homemaker. Family and friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Butler" Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Avenue), for a Service of Remembrance to be held in the Chapel on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 1 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. If desired, donations welcome to Toronto Western Hospital Asthma and Airway Centre.
