HELEN EDDY HENLEY, 87 Daughter of the late Pearl and Ross Eddy, passed away March 20, 2014, in Margate, Florida. Helen was a Registered Nurse. She served in the Nurse Cadet Corps during her training. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi enjoying a rich social life and participating in many efforts to improve the lives of others. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her brother James Eddy . Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Taylor of Port St Lucie, Fl, and Patti Burgess of Sunrise, Fl; five grandchildren, Heather Wakefield, Lt Col Derek Heifner, Alan Heifner, Helen Stewart, and Ian Burgess; seven great grandchildren, Gregory,Meagan,Shane,Mina,Nelly,Lilian,and Michael; three brothers, Jack Eddy of Huntington WV, Carlton Eddy of Pfaffl, NC, and Larry Eddy of Roseville, Ca; and her beloved sister Ruth Jean Eddy of Huntington, WV. Helen was a compassionate, loving and strong woman. She handled the trials in her life with grace and dignity, never failing to thank all who helped her. She will be at rest in Pompano Beach Cemetary.
