Obituary of Helen E. Peloquin


Helen Elizabeth (Mackie) Peloquin, 86, of Mansfield, formerly of Holbrook, died peacefully Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife, best friend and partner of Leo E. Peloquin for 58 years. She was the loving mother of Susan Peloquin of Providence, Lynne Peloquin of Plainville, Leo J. Peloquin and his wife Maureen of Hingham, James Peloquin of Mansfield, Carol Peloquin Oakes and her husband David of Reading, and Christine Peloquin and her wife Rachel Shea of California. In addition, she was a devoted Memere to Ryan Peloquin, Beth and Thomas OHanley, all of Hingham, Benjamin and Harrison Oakes, of Reading, Cameron and Jordan Peloquin of Mansfield, Nicholas and Aurora Baraiolo of Plainville, Emma Peloquin of Providence and Mackie and Desmond Shea-Peloquin of California. Helens devoted siblings are Wilfred J. Mackie of Florida, James Mackie of California, Marie Dickinson of Franklin and the late Wade Mackie of Holbrook. She was the devoted sister-in-law of Adele Peloquin of West Roxbury; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friendships. Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held Friday, Dec. 2, at 9:30 a.m. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Marys Church, 330 Pratt St. (Rte. 106), Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Mansfield. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, from 4-8 p.m. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the House of Possibilities at Stonehill College, 350 Washington St., Easton, MA 02356, or to Brigham and Womens Hospital, Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02116.
