Gunter, Helen E.July 19, 1927 - Dec. 20, 2012Helen E. Gunter, 85, of Englewood, Florida, died Thursday, December 20, 2012. She was born on July 19, 1927 in Wolfe City, Texas to Ted and Elizabeth (Jones) Williams. She moved to Englewood in 1995 from Naperville, IL. Mrs. Gunter was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Englewood and a member of the Venice Doll Club. Survivors include her husband, C. Gene Gunter of Englewood; her daughter, Carol (Max) Pokorny of Cape Haze, FL; her son, Chet (Sandi) Gunter of Martinez, GA; her grandchildren , G. Quentin (Jennifer) Finney, Stephanie (Pokorny) (Matt) Naylor, M. Brandt Bays, Christopher (Priscila) Pokorny, Emily Pokorny, Rebecca Pokorny, Nicholas Pokorny and Jacob Pokorny; her great grandchildren, Rowan, Liam, Cash, Mac and Lilly.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Englewood.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
