Obituary of Helen Dewar


DEWAR, Helen. (R.N., A graduate of Royal Victoria Hospital) Peacefully at the Bayfield Lodge, Kemptville on Saturday January 10, 2004. Helen Dewar (nee Stewart) of Kemptville in her one hundred and first year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Dewar and loving sister of the late Anne Russell, Mina Snyder, Edith Collinge and Wilma Stanton. Survived by her nephews Brodie Snyder (Pat), James Collinge (Bonnie), and her nieces Judith Collinge and Helen Phillips (Ross), as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Saturday January 17 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Cremation with interment of cremated remains at Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated.
