Helen Connor Williams, 73, died peacefully at her home Sept. 17, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael A. and Olive Green Connor; her husband of 42 years, Herbert Sewell Williams Jr.; and her sister, Anne Catherine Connor. She is survived by sons, Tim Williams of Tampa, Fla., Trey (Susan) Williams of Dallas, Texas, Michael (Pam) Williams of Decatur, Ala., and Duncan Williams of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughters, Kathy (Alan) Smith, Molly (Don) Sampson of Nashville, Tenn., and Leann (Sam) Jarczynski of Safety Harbor, Fla.; sisters, Marie Hobbs and Doll Hunt, both of Nashville; and brother, Michael Connor of Raleigh, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A rosary followed by visitation with the family will be in the chapel at St. Henry Catholic Church from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Nashville, with her nephew, Father Mark Hunt celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
