Obituary of Helen Carter

Helen Carter, 81, died March 12, 2009, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. She was born in New York City, and lived in Palm City for 23 years, coming from Huntington, N.Y. She was past president of the Women's Metropolitan Golf Association and was a club champion five times at several golf clubs. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Elliot Carter; daughter, Randee Conlon of East Northport, N.Y.; sons, Gary Carter of Branford, Conn., and Jeff Carter of Gig Harbor, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, Fla. 34997. SERVICES: A memorial service will be from 9 to 11 a.m. March 24 at 2592 S.W. Willowwood Circle, Palm City. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home & Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
