HELEN BUJDOSO DAVIS LA JOLLA, CA Helen Bujdoso Davis of La Jolla, CA passed away April 14, 2012. Helen was born August 4, 1913 in Chicago, IL to the late Stephen and Esther Bujdoso. Her parents came to America from Hungary during World War I. At the early age of 15, Helen graduated from Froebel High School where she excelled in music and theater. She played first place cello and trombone in the school band. She also played the piano. After high school Helen went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State Teachers College, Muncie, IN and her Master's in Business from Indiana University and then completed her graduate work at the University of Chicago and Southern University. For the next 40 years, Helen taught music and business at high school and university level. Helen lived with her family in Gary, IN and was a member of the Hungarian Reform Church where she played the organ for many years. After retiring in Southern California, she taught for 8 more years in the Anaheim school district. For the past 35 years, Helen lived with her daughter, Lee Clark in La Jolla, CA. During this time, she has been involved in the San Diego Opera, City Ballet, Chamber Music, Contemporary Art Museum of La Jolla, Heart to Heart International, Parks and Recreation, Photographic Art Museum and was an active life member of Scripps Hospital Volunteer Group, Indiana University, and Alpha Chi Sorority. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Helen is survived by her daughter, Lee Clark and her husband Jerry Pikolysky of La Jolla, CA; son, Norman Davis and his wife Karen of Carmel Valley, CA; adopted son, Eugene Bujdoso and wife Ede of Crown Point, IN; four granddaughters: Darcie Garvey, Cheryl Miller, Lorna Showers, Rebecca Bryant; two grandsons: Michael Stephen and Brian Bujdoso; eight great grandchildren: Ashley Forbes, Ryan Forbes, Brandon Forbes, Sean Forbes, Patrick Garvey, Collin Garvey, Hunter Garvey, Conner Bryant. A private memorial was held with family in her home the night of her passing.
