She was born Sept. 7, 1928 in Cedar City, Utah to Albert Roy and Aneeta Laverne McBride. Helen was married to Joseph Edwin "Ted" Barton on April 30, 1951, in Paragonah, Utah. They were sealed together with their children on the 12th of October 1963 in the St. George Temple. Helen loved her family, especially her grand-children, and great-grand-children - and they loved her. She loved to cook, the mountains and to travel. Helen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as the Paragonah Ward Primary chorister / pianist for over 40 years. She loved music and the primary children. Survivors include her children Deborah (Ron) Johnson, J. Royce (Rhonna) Barton, Laura (David) Ellgen, J. Mark (Sandra) Barton, and Nicole (Matt) Rosenberg, sister Doris Williams, 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, her parents, and her sisters Barbara Dailey, Lois Orton, and Thelma Mosdell. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Paragonah LDS Church, with viewing from 10:00-10:45 AM. Burial will be in the Paragonah Cemetery. Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab.
